Atlee Collaboration: An Ambitious Project on Hold
Salman Khan and Tamil director Atlee Kumar had been in discussions for a grand-scale period drama, tentatively titled ‘A6’. The film was envisioned as a reincarnation saga with a substantial budget. The project aimed to feature a prominent South Indian actor alongside Salman to enhance its pan-India appeal. However, due to scheduling conflicts and casting challenges, the project has been put on hold.
Reunion with Sooraj Barjatya: A New Chapter
Salman Khan has confirmed that he will reunite with director Sooraj Barjatya for a new film. The duo, known for delivering blockbusters like ‘Maine Pyar Kiya‘ and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!‘, have reportedly finalized the script for their upcoming project. While the film’s title remains under wraps, it is anticipated to be a family drama, a genre that Barjatya excels in. Filming is expected to commence in 2025.
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’: Awaiting the Green Light
Regarding the sequel to the 2015 blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘, reports indicate that the script is ready and awaiting Salman Khan’s approval. The original film’s writer, Vijayendra Prasad, has crafted the story for the sequel. Fans are eagerly awaiting further developments on this front.
Current and Upcoming Projects
In addition to these developments, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of ‘Sikandar‘, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles, is slated for an Eid 2025 release. The teaser and the first song, ‘Zohra Jabeen‘, have already garnered positive responses from audiences.
